Service Description
The AHA’s ACLS course builds on the foundation of lifesaving basic life support skills, emphasizing the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR. This course reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC). What does ACLS teach? Systematic approach (assessment) High-quality BLS Airway management Rhythm recognition Defibrillation Intravenous (IV)/intraosseous (IO) access (information only) Use of medications Cardioversion Transcutaneous pacing High-performance teams Students must complete ACLS pre-course assessment with a score of 70% prior to attending the course.
